3. 100 cells are arranged in two rows of 50 each in series and the two rows in parallel. The battery supplies a current of 1 A to an electric lamp having a resistance of 50 Ω. If the internal resistance of each cell is 2Ω, find the e.m.f of each cell.

4. A cube of material of side 1 cm has a resistance of 0.001 Ω between its opposite faces. If the same material has length of 9 cm and a uniform cross sectional area of 1 cm2, what will be the resistance of this wire?
