Vectors are mathematical ob- jects having both a magnitude and a direction and are used to represent many other physical quanti – are ties in addition to the ones needed to describe mo- tion. By contrast , some physical quantities , such as temperature and time, have no direction and are represented by ordinary numbers or scalars

Motion in a plan is equivalent to a pair of one- dimensional motion

ومالفرق بين ordinary numbers وَ scalars ؟؟
