Dear scientists
It’s time for action, not talk.
The Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the 57-country Organization of the Islamic conference (OIC) is pleased to announce the launch of Virtual Incubator for Science-based Business (VISB).
VISB will help companies, research institutions and scientists within the OIC member states who are willing to offer homegrown technologies to transfer them to other OIC countries. The terms of technology transfer will be mutually acceptable to both parties, and could include sharing royalties or setting up joint venture partnerships.
Now, we are establishing an e-library entitled 'Scientific ideas for investors…Turn potential into profits' which will list potential scientific ideas that could be translated into viable breakthrough products. These ideas will be presented to investors and private sector to develop them.
Thus, join us by sending your potential scientific ideas and technological solutions to promote interaction between researchers and industry as well as investors who can help to bring ideas, inventions and innovations to market, or otherwise into economically productive use.
The scientific ideas must include the following elements:
(1) Personal information (Name, E-mail, phone, address)
(2) Scientific field
(3) Why and how does the research have commercialization potential?
(4) Full description of the scientific idea (please do not include proprietary information)
We are also setting up an 'Ask the Experts' service to help potential investors and the science-based private sector to acquire, adopt and upgrade technology.
Thus, if you feel that you can participate in this technology consultancy service, please send to us you CV indicating the scientific areas that you can provide technical advice and consultancy in.
You can send your CV and your scientific ideas to (wagdy.sawahel@sciencedev.net).
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
