I am actually like all of you confused , is there really an energy for photons at that speed or not?
as we know this equation invented by Prof. Albert Einstein E=mc^2 is true and stands for most and almost all things in the universe.
Any object not just photons with this huge and enormouse speed has no mass which means the mass is zero for any object in that speed. so the equation equates the energy as the mass is zero the energy also come to be zero.
This does not prevent the light to get affected by gravity under GR ( General Relativity ) which states that gravity can bend a light beam.
But here is a question rising itself :
Light is a form of energy it is not a solid or liquid or gas or plasma then it is an energy that has a value which no one knows till today, this energy is related to all kinds of energies but most times it is neglected because it is unkown and most scientists thought that it has no value but some think like i think that it has a value even though it is to much small , alright the question is if there is a really value for this type of energy then it should be related to the photons as well neglecting the effect of mass what would the energy of the photons be then ?????
