![]() End Points ![]() نبذة عن الكتاب : This report provides an analysis of the management of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste in Russia and the United States, describing inventories, comparing approaches, and assessing the end-point options for storage and disposal of materials and wastes. The committee finds that despite differences in philosophy about nuclear fuel cycles, Russia and the United States need similar kinds of facilities and face similar challenges, although in Russia many of the problems are worse and funding is less available. The report contains recommendations for immediate and near-term actions, for example, protecting and stabilizing materials that are security and safety hazards, actions for the longer term, such as developing more interim storage capacity and studying effects of deep injection, and areas for collaboration للتحميل، إضغط هنا |

![]() Nuclear Principles in Engineering ![]() إسم الكتاب : Nuclear Principles in Engineering الكاتب : Tatjana Jevremovic * الناشر: Springer * عدد الصفحات: 444 * تاريخ النشر: 2005-07-01 * ISBN / ASIN: 0387232842 نبذة عن الكتاب : Nuclear engineering plays an important role in various industrial, health card, and energy processes. Modern physics has generated its fundamental principles. A growing number of students and practicing engineers need updated material to access the technical language and ******* of nuclear principles as they apply to diverse applications that include, but are not limited to, power production, propulsion electric generators for space applications, diagnostics and treatment in medicine, imaging, and homeland security. This book is intended to serve students, engineers, physicians and scientists with fresh and up-to-date information in basic nuclear concepts and calculation methods using numerous examples and illustrative computer application areas. للتحميل، إضغط هنا |

![]() An Introduction to Nuclear Physics ![]() إسم الكتاب :An Introduction to Nuclear Physics الكتاب : W. N. Cottingham, D. A. Greenwood, * الناشر: Cambridge University Press * عدد الصفحات: 288 * تاريخ النشر: 2001-03-05 * ISBN / ASIN: 0521651492 نبذة عن الكتاب : This introduction to nuclear physics provides an excellent basis for a core undergraduate course in this area. The authors show how simple models can provide an understanding of the properties of nuclei, both in their ground and excited states, and of the nature of nuclear reactions. They include chapters on nuclear fission, its application in nuclear power reactors, the role of nuclear physics in energy production and nucleosynthesis in stars. This new edition contains several additional topics: muon-catalyzed fusion, the nuclear and neutrino physics of supernovae, neutrino mass and neutrino oscillations, and the biological effects of radiation. A knowledge of basic quantum mechanics and special relativity is assumed. Each chapter ends with a set of problems accompanied by outline solutions للتحميل، إضغط هنا |

![]() Fundamentals in Nuclear Physics ![]() إسم الكتاب Fundamentals in Nuclear Physics: From Nuclear Structure to Cosmology (Advanced Texts in Physics) الكتاب : Jean-Louis Basdevant, James Rich, Michael Spiro, * الناشر: Springer * عدد الصفحات: 522 * تاريخ النشر: 2005-06-06 * ISBN / ASIN: 0387016724 نبذة عن الكتاب : This course on nuclear physics leads the reader to the exploration of the field from nuclei to astrophysical issues. Much nuclear phenomenology can be understood from simple arguments such as those based on the Pauli principle and the Coulomb barrier. This book is concerned with extrapolating from such arguments and illustrating nuclear systematics with experimental data. Starting with the basic concepts in nuclear physics, nuclear models, and reactions, the book covers nuclear decays and the fundamental electro-weak interactions, radioactivity, and nuclear energy. After the discussions of fission and fusion leading into nuclear astrophysics, there is a presentation of the latest ideas about cosmology. As a primer this course will lay the foundations for more specialized subjects. This book emerged from a series of topical courses the authors delivered at the Ecole Polytechnique and will be useful for graduate students and for scientists in a variety of fields للتحميل، إضغط هنا |
